OK, but really, the DMC-12 has to be re-done. Style checks out already (still does), but I reckon I need a carbon tub and full carbon bodywork. Both will be a tough job, but doesn’t matter. It’ll be RWD, racing-grade inboard suspension with Bilstein setups, PCCB, and a blown diffuser. Air brakes, too.
Who needs flux capacitors when you got Williams R&D?

Isn’t the stainless steel body the entire point of the DeLorean? It sure didn’t have much else going for it.

Part of it is the guy who made it was pretty cool (before the coke thing, but wasn’t everyone involved in coke in the 80s?). Also the BTTF thing doesn’t hurt. And gullwing doors are cool.

rear engine was neat. A large amount of the design work was redone by Lotus.
